Updated: April 20, 2023-Are you looking forward to blogging tips for beginners in 2023? If yes, then this post is for you. Blogging is a wonderful way to communicate your beliefs, ideas, and experiences. It helps you build a personal brand.

Trust me, I am thankful enough to start an online business because of blogging and SEO.

More and more people are turning to blogs for their business and career. Blogs have grown in popularity over the years.

Some are even turning sub-topics into full-time businesses, such as:

  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Content writing
  • Optimize old blog posts
  • Keyword research
  • Guest Post Service

This means that bloggers are becoming experts and can monetize their skills online much faster.

So I hope these blogging tips will provide you with everything you need.

TL;DR: My most helpful blogging tips

  • Create an editorial calendar: Keeps you consistent
  • Use blog post templates: saves time
  • Update your content: which can increase blog traffic
  • Develop a link-building strategy: content + links = fast growth

If you’re thinking about starting a successful blog or want to improve the one you have, we’ll cover every blogging tip I can think of. I seriously wish I had some sort of guide when I first started.

Nowadays, there are numerous outlets where you can complete a blog.

WordPress is one of them. There are so numerous plugins and themes out there that you can efficiently customize them according to your needs.

Let’s get begun on these blogging tips so you can start with transparency.

Every single blogging tip you should know about

Blogging is now considered a great way to build authority and increase traffic to your site So hope to dispel any myths surrounding it.

Let’s dive deep into the basic blogging tips I have written for beginners and even successful bloggers

1. Start with a good domain name

A good domain name should be easy to remember and spell. Make sure it’s available before buying through a site like Godaddy or NameCheap

Also, make sure it’s not something where you pigeonhole yourself into a niche. This will help keep things simple for you when pivoting

My mentor, Adam Enfroy, is a powerful case study of how powerful a personal brand can be. He created his WordPress blog with his domain name and became a 7-figure blogger.

I’ve been able to grow this blog for various “niches” using my name and rank, including

  • AI writing software
  • Blogging topics
  • Credit Repair
  • Video captioning software

So, try using your name and see if it works for you. If it is taken, you have different variations like Smhaider, hellos, and middle primary.

2. Choose your blogging platform wisely

There are many different platform options out there, but the one I recommend is WordPress (.org).

It is probably the most popular blogging platform considering it is an open-source platform.

There are many free WordPress themes and plugins that you can use to customize your blog or complete all-in-one theme builders like Thrive Suite.

You can start from scratch with a blank slate or choose an existing theme.

Now there is a blogging platform that caught my eye called Ghost, which offers advanced SEO-friendly features.

So make sure to choose the right blogging platform and create a successful WordPress blog.

Don’t go with a complimentary blogging platform if you enjoy earning money from ads, affiliates, and digital products.

It’s best to start with an open-source platform like WordPress or Ghost.

Thrive Thrives Membership (Thrive Suite) is the all-in-one theme builder I use to run this blog. Create specific pages for specific categories easily.

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

3. Write with search intent in mind

You need to decide what kind of content you want to write about, along with the search intent of your potential reader.

Search intent has a lot to do with your content and monetization results.

For example, if you’re writing about credit repair and want someone to buy your credit repair services, you might want to include keywords like “best credit repair” and “how to improve your credit score fast” since people are searching for answers to make a purchasing decision. More willing.

4. Perform an SEO audit

There are many different tools that you can use to perform an SEO audit.

The most popular are Google Search Console and Surfer Audit, which provide a lot of information about your website and its performance in search engines.

Every successful blogger knows to regularly audit their own blog posts. However, there are also other options. Some of them are Surfer SEO, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.

These are some of the best SEO means you can utilize.

With Surfer, you can have your articles ranked on the first page of google by using machine learning and other ranking factors.

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

I noticed a huge increase in my Google positioning after doing an SEO audit.

It really helps me identify areas of improvement in my articles.

All you have to do is enter the URL and the keyword you are trying to optimize for and it will show you what you need to do to optimize your blog post.

5. Use keywords relevant to your topic

This is very important because keywords play an important role in determining whether people click on your site and allow Google to easily crawl your data.

So, while understanding your content try to hit keywords with Google’s target search intent.

If they can’t find what they’re looking for, they’ll leave your site which can leave you in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

To avoid this, you need to focus on finding relevant keywords that match your topic.

6. Create high-quality blog content regularly

The more posts you can create, the better. However, you need to make sure that you create quality content that is unique and useful.

Writing great content will make all the difference and is an often-overlooked blogging tip.

If you are struggling with your posting schedule, I recommend using Google Spreadsheets or your favorite content planning tools to figure out exactly what to blog about When it comes to writing blog posts, that alone has helped me stay focused on blogging every day.

People love to read interesting things, so I try to write three articles every week whether with AI writing software or other blogging tools.

7. Don’t comment on other blogs for SEO

Commenting on other blogs will not help your ranking. You should only add a blog comment if you really have a question or something valuable to add to their post.

Maybe in the days when comments counted for ranking, but these days, it doesn’t matter how many periods someone comments on another blog.

So recognize, blog comments are not useful for search engine optimization.

8. Link building is important for topical authorities

Link building is very important to get traffic to your own blog. If you want to rank high in search results, you need to have high-quality backlinks to your site.

You can do this by guest posting on other blogs, sharing your articles on social media platforms, and building relationships with other websites or bloggers.

Here are a few methods you can use to build your overall authority:

  • Answering HARO questions
  • Guest blogging
  • Indirect Link Exchange
  • Insert Link Outreach
  • Create the best resource post

There are several ways to get backlinks to your website, but the easiest way is to be good with email outreach.

9. Optimize images and videos

Google Core Web Vitals will give you a score out of 100 based on how fast your website loads.

If your site’s loading time is slow, you should optimize your images and videos to reduce file size without sacrificing quality.

This may include using responsive design, reducing image file sizes and compressing videos.

Some of my favorite blogging tools for image compression are:

  • imagine
  • Optimizilla
  • Short pixels
  • Tinypng

Once you start optimizing these things you will notice a huge difference in web page speed.

10. Use blog post templates

Writing a blog post isn’t just about opening your document editor and writing.

It’s all about having the perfect blog post outline template that makes your writing easy.

These templates save time and allow you to focus on creating great content instead of wasting hours trying to figure out how to format header and filler content.

Here are some blog post template ideas:

  • How to templateComparison post
  • Alternative post
  • Product review
  • List Essay
  • Beginner’s Guide
  • Post linkable resources

Here is a perfect example of a product review template I created. Feel free to download this outline.

Product review template So whether you’re writing on your own or hiring a freelance SEO writer, these are the resources you’ll want to have at your disposal.

Blog outline templates are suitable for both beginners and experts so use it whenever you create a new blog post.

11. Focus less on website design

Don’t worry so much about trying to have the perfect sidebar or menu at the beginning of your blogging journey. Your readers don’t care as long as they find what they’re looking for.

It’s important that you focus on providing value first and optimizing your keyword buyer intent before thinking about aesthetics.

So you’ll want to stick to the basics and have a very clean, modern website design. This means no sidebars, popups or other distracting elements to distract from the main purpose of your website (as long as you don’t get more traffic).

Here are the four main pages you want when starting your WordPress website design:

  • Home page
  • Blog Archive
  • Single blog post
  • About page
  • Suggested resources

Just focus on these 4 pages and don’t worry too much about fancy design until you get a lot of traffic.

12. Delete slow plugins and install necessary ones

You don’t want plugins that slow down your site or cause conflicting issues. You may think this is fine because you only have one plugin installed, but if you have 10+ plugins installed, you’ll want to delete them and install the necessary plugins.

If you’re not sure which plugins to remove, I recommend removing any unnecessary plugins that don’t do these things:

  • Minifying CSS and JavaScript
  • Creating templates for your blog
  • Affiliate link management
  • On-page SEO
  • Image optimization
  • Video hosting
  • safety

13. Optimize for link clicks

You need to optimize your articles to convert. This means focusing on copywriting, better-looking buttons, calls-to-action, and clickable blog post titles.

The best way to do this is to make sure each article has an optimized title with relevant keywords. You can do this by using a blog post title analyzer tool.

Now, my favorite call-to-action is an exit intent pop-up form like the one below.

Pop-up form EddyBalle Then, you’ll want to add an exit-intent popup form to increase click-through rates.

Some options are:

  • Scroll mat
  • Delayed popup form
  •  “Sticky” tape
  • In-line form
  • Slide-in form
  • Opt-in widget
  • Screen filler overlay
  • Sidebar “Top Picks”

I saw a high conversion rate without harming my blog readers. So experiment with different forms and see which one works best for you. Add it to your content marketing strategy and see a huge difference in link clicks.

14. Create an Affiliate Display Box

If you like to have an advantageous affiliate blog, you’ll want to start adding affiliate display boxes. This is currently one of my favorite blogging techniques and increases affiliate link clicks.

Here’s a great example of what I use for my product reviews.

Do you see this beautiful affiliate display? Yup, it’s built with Lasso. Lasso is the perfect solution for bloggers who want their affiliate links on full display.

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

I’ve noticed 15%-20% higher click-through rates (sometimes more) for my best-performing content.

Most bloggers care about their blog readers as much as they are in it for income, but most don’t realize that their audience doesn’t care.

You should instead focus on increasing affiliate link clicks and growing your email list.

If you want to learn how to create an affiliate display box, check out the Getlasso review above. As long as you create a quality post that solves their problem, you’ll have a better chance of keeping your readers on your site.

15. Remove commenting option

An important piece of blogging advice is to remove the comment option. Allowing comments is very tempting, especially since it was considered an SEO factor back then. Now, you will find only spam comments and a bunch of low-quality commenters.

Instead, where you have your blog comment section, create an opt-in form asking people to subscribe to your email mailing list.

Then, when someone subscribes, you’ll be capable to send them suggestions, email newsletters, and more

This will help you build a strong relationship with your customers and make them trust you enough to give them their email addresses Also, it doesn’t hurt to increase your other traffic sources.

16. Make a simple lead magnet

If you want to get more email subscribers or send people directly to an offer page, creating a simple lead magnet may work well for you.

A lead magnet is anything like a free e-book, cheat sheet, checklist, digital product, or anything else that solves a problem. It’s also a great way to test if there’s demand for your niche.

If not, you shouldn’t waste time building a business around it.

You can use tools like Buzzsumo to find ideas for lead magnets or product hunting.

17. Offer consulting or coaching services at the beginning

Start offering consulting services when you first launch your blog It allows you to earn money online while you grow your online audience.

Offering coaching or consulting services helps you build credibility, gain trust from your blog readers, and hopefully make it a full-time gig.

They know you’re going to pay the price so they stay longer. Most people will charge different proportional rates depending on how much time they spend working with you.

For example, Eddy assess $197 for one hour of coaching.

18. Include videos in your blog posts

Did you understand that YouTube is held by Google? So you want to make sure you include videos in your posts.

I suggest using Screenflow or something very simple to register video content and tutorials. When you publish these videos, you can embed them in your posts

Below is an example of a YouTube embed

I recommend reducing the load time for your videos as it can waste video loading time in your blog posts

What is another benefit of adding YouTube videos to your articles?

I have started to see that my readers stay longer on these types of articles because of the videos

They were getting information that they could not go anywhere else and would stay longer.

What does that say to search engines? That my content is unique and resourceful.

19. Learn the basics of keyword research

If you really want to increase your organic traffic, keyword research should be at the top of your priority list.

Search engines look for keywords when they crawl your site You need to figure out which keywords are most relevant to your content without keyword stuffing.

The best way to do this is to learn the basics and go through Ahrefs’ beginner tutorials or SEMrush’s free training.

Once you understand how to properly conduct keyword research, you can start ranking higher in the SERPs and gain organic search traffic.

20. Check grammar before you publish

It is important to check your grammar mistakes before publishing. This makes your post look professional and gives the impression that you care about your writing.

This is not only useful for SEO but also for your overall trademark.

One tool that has helped me the most is Grammarly Pro. Grammarly allows you to check this:

  • misspelling
  • Check for bad grammar mistakes
  • Show your voice
  • plagiarism checker
  • Analyzes everything and removes any meaningless content

So to avoid the common mistake of posting a bad article try using Grammarly or a tool like this and try to edit it before publishing.

21. Install a WordPress SEO-Plugin

If you’re not an expert in SEO or have no experience with sitemap settings, you may be struggling with your website’s performance.

You can use plugins like Yoast SEO, All In One SEO Pack or RankMath to help optimize your site and rank better.

They all include simple wizard setups to help you create the perfect sitemap structure for your site.

You can use these plugins to target your focus keyword phrases and improve the overall content structure

I always recommend RankMath SEO, but you are free to choose the options.

22. Create TOFU and BOFU content

You’ll learn that you need both how-to (TOFU) and best-of (BOFU) content to increase traffic and income, which is one of my favorite blogging topics.

TOFU articles are usually more specific than general topics and will help you look like an expert on that topic This type of content is perfect for growing an organic mass audience.

BOFU articles, on the other hand, are what I call “money posts” and are often written as lists.

These transactional posts will obtain the most connection clicks and revenue from social media shares.

So if you’re just starting out and need to build your knowledge graph, I’d recommend:

  • 1 link-bait post
  • 3 transaction content pieces
  • 1 supporting essay

You may want to start guest blogging or partner for indirect link exchange and get high authority backlinks to your link-bait posts.

Once you increase your overall authority, you’ll want to add internal links from this one article to all of your other individual posts (especially relevant blog posts). This is what I do consistently and for any new type of subject I want to enter.

23. Create linkable resources

So, you’ve been searching online for different content strategies but haven’t found anything that works?

I’m sure you’ve seen numerous blogs that talk about creating linkable resources. But what exactly does it mean?

Linkable assets are basically pieces of content that people share through backlinks, social media, and email marketing campaigns.

They are great because they allow you to create a variety of content without worrying about how to promote it

Linkable resources can be infographics, idea posts, resource lists, and more.

You can find the best linkable resource (link-bait) articles on websites by visiting Ahrefs or SEMrush.

Check out their top organic traffic and see what type of content works best.

These types of articles are perfect for building your “knowledge graph” with Google and linking to other blog article content.

Here are examples of my successful linkable resource posts:

  • Best online course ideas
  • Best side hustles to start with
  • Best digital product ideas
  • Best Affiliate Marketing Tools
  • Credit Repair Tips

These are what my audience searches for and become a high-traffic search query on Google So when you are looking for ideas, try to think outside the box and come up with special concepts that no one else is doing right now.

P.S.: Always check your competitor’s top results with a keyword research platform.

24. Build an email list

While it’s easy to get traffic to your content, you’ll want to start building an email list and you can use an email marketing tool like MailChimp, Convertkit, GetResponse, etc.

When you have a considerable sufficient email list, you can operate them for direct response advertising, leverage, and more

Whenever you reach out to a brand or business blog, you can try to get a higher rate of discussion by shouting out a free email newsletter.

There are many ways to grow your email list, but here are some basic tips:

  • Include it in your sidebar
  • Correspondingly
  • At the end of your blog post
  • Top your blog title

You will then send email campaigns on at least a weekly basis so that you can build trust with your target audience.

25. Learn the basics of WordPress

Before you publish a bunch of articles every week or install plugins, you’ll want to know the basics of WordPress.

That way, you won’t be overwhelmed if something goes wrong. It’s also helpful to know how to use some basic tools like RankMath, Yoast SEO-WordPress Plugin, and Gravatar.

To learn the basics of WordPress, I searched for some tutorials on YouTube:

As long as you understand these key settings, you’ll be fine:

  • Page vs. Post
  • Setting up your Gravatar
  • plugin
  • Update

So learn the basics and move on to important tasks like content ideation and content planning.

26. Don’t sign up for an ad network too earlier

Don’t sign up for Google Adsense or Ezoic ads too early in your blogging travels. If you only get less than 1,000 monthly visitors it will not help in generating income.

It can also ruin the aesthetics of your blog design and mess with your Google Analytics statistics such as “time treated”.

I didn’t sign up for anything until I mastered affiliate marketing and selling digital products.

27. Create a content calendar

Now is the time to create a consistent blogging schedule and save the types of topics you want to write about.

If you are new to blogging, it may take some time to figure it out. But once you do, you’ll be able to plan your entire year ahead of time.

If you want a solid piece of blogging advice, I suggest you do this first and go through various keyword research platforms, including Google Trends.

And if you are struggling with future posts and have no blogging strategy, you can follow my method.

I keep it simple and use a ladder of content ideas based on the sales funnel concept.

You want to include your BOFU, MOFU, and TOFU content and know what to write first.

  • Top of Funnel: Attracts readers and builds your authority
  • Middle of the Funnel: Answer questions that interest your audience
  • Bottom of the Funnel: Focused Buyer Intent and What Makes a Profitable Blog

Here is my exact content plan for newbie bloggers:

Eddyballe content planning

-When you write topic ideas, you’ll want to come up with actual blog post titles and descriptions.

28. Your blog posts don’t have to be fluff

Don’t add too much fluff to your post as it won’t make sense to your audience. You should always keep things short and concise.

Your readers need to read your content quickly and efficiently. They don’t have time to wade through a lot of unnecessary information.

This is why I always recommend using an SEO tool like Surfer SEO or Phrase.io to get the keyword phrases right.

With Surfer, you can have your articles ranked on the first page of Google by using machine learning and other ranking factors.

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

These tools provide you with an easy-to-follow content guide that helps you avoid wasting time writing filler content.

29. Break up blog content to boost readability

Have you ever skimmed through blog content trying to find the answer you were looking for?

This is probably because Blogger has not segmented their content properly.

There are two main reasons why people skip content:

  • They do not apprehend what they are doing
  • The content is not organized well enough

So you can do this using bullet points, images, infographics, and content blocks from your theme builder. This will help make your blog posts scannable.

30. Your post has been recently updated

Google loves new and most updated content so make sure you update your old posts regularly

Most WordPress themes allow you to show “recently updated” on your blog posts or you can use plugins if you can’t find a way to update it. through your theme.

You can see that Google shows the updated date on a post through search queries which is another important factor for CTR.

It is also a good idea to re-optimize your recent blog post along with older content

31. Reuse your blog content

Are your articles beginning to index on the first page of Google? Then it’s time to repurpose your content on other social media channels

A good blogging tip of mine is to use your written articles as scripts for your YouTube content.

  • YouTube
  • tick tock
  • Instagram Reels
  • Pin Pinterest Ideas

A great idea is to grab bite-sized content from your YouTube videos and share them on TikTok and Instagram Relay.

This is a solid way to repurpose content online without doing any extra work.

You can use a video caption generator or subtitle software to repurpose your videos

32. Know the difference between WordPress.org vs WordPress.com

Seriously, learn the difference between these two!

You don’t know how many times I’ve seen someone build a website on wordpress.com and later realize they actually built a site on WordPress.org.

WordPress.com is a platform that allows you to create websites without worrying about hosting costs. Think of it as Tumblr or Medium.com

While you may think you’re saving money by going with WordPress.com, in the long run, it could end up costing you more than you think. Knowing the difference will save you a lot of time.

WordPress.org is where all the good stuff happens. This is where most bloggers start and this is where you want to make changes to your site

33. Make an About Me Page that markets

If you want to increase your authority in a short period of time, write an impressive biography about yourself.

A high-quality, unique, informative, and engaging bio should take no more than 30 minutes to complete.

Here are some tips to help you write an interesting story or biography:

  • Use keywords from your blog post (or niche).
  • List at least 3 something that concerns you
  • List a few things you are an expert on
  • Add your social profile link

So tell your story, and give your readers something to leave your bio page with.

34. Don’t forget your meta description

When it comes to search engines like Google, you’ll want to provide a description of up to 160 characters This description helps describe what people find on your pages

Some people say that meta descriptions don’t have much impact because only 10% of users read them.

I disagree because Google uses your meta description to determine what results will appear in the SERPs.

A successful business blog should have a proper meta description that includes keyword phrases.

35. Sprint up your site with a caching plugin

What I understand is that to get a quality post rank, the page load time needs to be fast.

If a visitor comes to your site and finds that every article takes forever to load, there’s no way they’re going to stick around.

A rhyme for site speed:

If your site speed is trash, you must install a cache.

In fact, if you don’t have a caching plugin installed, probabilities are your visitors won’t even bother coming back to study because Google will lower your scales for lagging-loading sites.

Caching plugins can dramatically speed up your site. The best ones work across multiple browsers and devices. They also cache static assets like images, CSS, JavaScript, HTML files, etc.

Some of my favored caching plugins are:

  1. W3 Total Cache
  2. WP Rocket
  3. Wp Super Cache

My favorite web hosting company, WPX includes W3 Total cache as a built-in caching plugin.

$24.99 Per Month (5 Websites)

WPX is the perfect choice for those who need high-quality hosting that can accommodate up to 5 websites. It comes with a caching plugin, insane support, and CDN in-house which makes it easier to create WordPress websites!

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

36. Use Google’s suggestions to find topics

If you are incapable to come up with topic thoughts, you can employ Google’s suggestions feature to get begun. Just type the keyword into Google and see what comes up

You can also view your competitors’ topics and see what they have published in the past month Make sure to follow their leads and publish good content from them.

This is one of my favorite blogging strategies because you already know what works

37. Use AI writing tools

Did you know that AI can rank content on Google? Artificial intelligence tools like Grammarly and Jasper AI can analyze your writing and provide helpful suggestions

I use Jasper AI to write all my blog articles and social media content. This AI writing tool lets you create a blog post in seconds with just the push of one button!

We earn a commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you.

These software programs are becoming increasingly popular among bloggers You can find free and paid tools that you can use In fact, I am currently writing this blogging tips guide using AI.

Some of the AI copywriting tools I recommend are:

  • Jasper AI
  • copy.ai
  • Phrase.io
  • Surfer SEO

Most of these tools can help you with blog writing, email outreach, and more. Guess what, it’s completely original content that you can double-check

with a plagiarism checker tool.

38. Use user-friendly URLs

URLs that are short and contain keyword phrases make it easier for search engines to crawl This means that you are more likely to get traffic from those searches

You can change this inside your WordPress settings by clicking on “Permalinks” and changing the URL format.

This will generate short, user-friendly URLs.

39. Add an affiliate disclaimer to your post

Affiliate links permit you to make money when someone purchases something from Amazon or another website via you. But many marketers worry about how Google views affiliate links.

The truth is, you need affiliate disclaimers placed around your posts so that any potential customers who click on an affiliate link understand that you will receive some compensation if they purchase the product.

This assists hold your importance clean and bypassing getting penalized by Google

To add an affiliate disclaimer, simply insert a piece of code after your body text or add it manually to each post.

Here’s one you can copy yourself.

Disclosure: Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you decide to purchase one of the products mentioned above, we will earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

We only recommend products we use and love.

40. Use AIDA in your introduction

Make sure to engage your target audience with a sales framework like AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action). This should be done to make sure you have the four necessary elements before you start writing.

It’s important to remember that not everyone will want to read your content right away. So, don’t just throw out a bunch of keywords without giving people enough information to get interested first.

If you choose to use the AIDA framework, you can start by creating an attention-grabber title. Then, you can craft your article with relevant, compelling subheadings. Finally, you can build towards the end of the introduction.

You will notice that any popular blog you click on will have this type of introduction at the beginning of its content.

41. Refresh old content while writing new content

Most bloggers forget to refresh their old content while creating new content. The most straightforward method to do this is to establish all the articles you’ve written over time and simply audit them. You may find old images, broken links, spelling errors, etc.

This will give you everything previously published Don’t be afraid to go back six months to see what worked and what didn’t.

This will provide valuable insight into why readers stop coming back. This could be because your site wasn’t updated often enough or your page was cluttered with too many ads.

Either way, it’s good to know where you failed and what you can improve next.

42. Turn on auto-update for your plugins

Trust me, I have seen many blog owners asking why their plugin is not updating automatically. They think WordPress is not working properly.

While this can happen, it’s usually because they’ve disabled automatic updates for their plugins Why?

Fortunately, most plugins these days are easy to maintain by enabling auto-updates.

You can easily do this right inside your WordPress dashboard.

43. Add outbound links

Start adding outbound links inside your articles so relevant readers can visit other sites within your niche.

You can even create a list of related blogs/sites to refer your readers to

Add social media sharing buttons to encourage more clicks on your links

I try to count outbound links to sites with very high control. This will help complete the article and let Google know it’s trustworthy They are great for building trust and credibility.

44. Blog like a business

If you want monthly readers to stick around, you need to treat blogging like a business.

Your job is to make money and build relationships from your blog.

This means advertising, promoting, selling, and making more money with each post.

The longer you keep your posts fresh and interesting, the higher Google will rank you. So you’ll want to treat it like a real company to have a successful business blog.

This means that you cannot write about topics that you have not thoroughly researched. If you want your readers to trust you, you should do your research before writing anything.

Write lists like the best lists for your audience. Create long-form content that covers many different topics.

This will help increase your search engine ranking and get people interested in reading your posts.

45. Underline your links

Start underlining your links when you write your posts Not only does it highlight text, it makes it easy for readers to know when to click on something.

It helps if you use bold colors whenever possible to distinguish links from the rest of your text.

This will ensure your readers don’t miss important information or relevant blog posts you’ve linked to.

Here’s an example:

Best Affiliate Marketing Software

Doing this also increases your CTRs (click-through rates) since they’re much better than regular links.

46. Use Tags and Categories.

Using tags and categories will help organize all your posts into groups This way, you can see how all your posts relate to each other.

For example, if you run a beauty blog, you can group your posts based on makeup, skincare, hair care, etc. This will make specific posts very easy It’s also helpful if you’re trying to find old posts you’ve forgotten about.

Categories and Tags

I recommend starting with 3 main tags and 5 subcategories. Then, go through all your posts and tag them accordingly.

It will take some time initially, but once you get going, organizing your posts becomes second nature.

47. Setup Google Analytics

If you want to track where all your traffic is coming from, including social shares, you need to install Google Analytics.

To do this, visit www.google.com/analytics and sign up for free. Once you’re signed up, you’ll be able to view your analytics dashboard From there, you can easily segment your traffic by source, date, location, referral page, etc.

You can even set goals so you can see which pages are driving the most traffic. You can even share your data with other platforms like Facebook and Twitter so you can see which pages are getting the most attention.

If this seems too difficult to do, install a plugin called Google Site Kit. This plugin will automatically create your GSC and Google Analytics accounts for you.

Once you’ve accomplished this, you’ll be prepared to begin tracking everything!

48. Find long-tail keywords

If you can’t find blog post ideas for your content marketing plan, try using long-tail keywords instead. These words tend to be more specific. They usually take longer to rank but are worth the investment.

They’re harder to rank for than short-tail keywords, but worth it when you’re trying to grow TOFU-specific content.

Here is an example:

  • Parent topic: Blogging Tips
  • Long-Tail Keywords: Blogging Tips for Newbies in 2022

Try looking for such keywords in your niche.

49. Add feature images to every page and post

Each of your blog posts should have a featured image. If you add images to every single page, they will look great in search results and when you share them on any social platform.

You can create beautifully designed featured images using graphic design tools like Canva or Photoshop. Go to any website and download their web app.

50. Write about emerging trends

Have a hard time ranking product review posts, or has someone already beaten you to that product ranking? Look for emerging trends in your specific industry and write about those topics.

You can do this in a number of ways, such as going to Google Trends and looking at trending topics. Or you can search Google News and see what’s trending in your particular blogging niche.

Here are some other resources to help you find trending topics:

  • Keywordtool.io
  • explosive matter
  • Google Trends
  • Google Adsense
  • Social media advertising

Searching through these sites will help you find emerging products and services, and an SEO tool will allow you to rank on Google before picking data online.

And better? Start reverse engineering those pages with a tool like Ahref and find other keyword opportunities related to your target audience.

51. Don’t be afraid to invest in blogging courses

While some people don’t like paying for an online course, especially if it’s their first, it’s actually a great way to learn new skills. There are lots of blogging techniques out there. Some of which offer lifetime access.

Some of our favorites include:

  • Blog Growth Engine by Adam Enfroy

So you can invest in the course and learn various important blogging tips and tricks without feeling like you are wasting money. The best part is that you get lifetime access to all of them and usually find a new partner in a blogging community.

53. Set up social media buttons

You’ll want to add social network buttons to every single page of your website. This includes landing pages, ebooks, sales pages, and blog posts.

This helps drive traffic back to your site from social media. I positively suggest setting it up now if you haven’t already. It is one of the easiest things to implement.

It’s an easy way to get your content shared by your readers and followers Even if you only share links to your own content, you’ll still be sharing valuable information So don’t forget to add social sharing buttons at the top of your post.

54. Add a contact form

If you want to accept guest blogging or work with affiliates, having a contact form will make it easier to reach out to potential clients.

Just add a contact form and most people will contact you via email. You can use a simple autoresponder service or redirect to your work email (if possible).

Count a contact form to your website and begin creating associations.

55. Use A/B testing

Another great technique to use is A/B testing when optimizing your blog posts. As mentioned earlier, Google has changed its algorithm many times over the years.

So, if you don’t constantly try new things, you can lose traffic and rank. With A/B testing, you can test two or three versions of your landing page, post headlines, and see which version gets the highest engagement.

56. Use social media marketing tools

Social media marketing tools are a must for any blogger. They allow you to manage all your social media accounts at once.

I use Tweet Hunter to create viral tweets that my audience likes. With Tweet Hunter, I can keep track of my best-performing tweets and quickly find new people to network with.

Tweethunter.io is an ai-powered Twitter tool. It can help you get more Twitter followers organically and schedule tweets ahead of time.

There are many options available today, but you just want to make sure it can handle multiple platforms.

This suggests it should include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube support.

57. Use infographics

The infographics are great! You can add them to any type of article about a topic you are passionate about or not

I used them for:

  • Comparing two different products or topics
  • Statistics
  • For those who like to skim through my content

In fact, infographics are now being used by marketers to promote products, gain backlinks and add value to your website traffic. Just reach out to relevant blogs and ask them if they’d be interested in using one of your infographics in their articles

58. Prepare your website for mobile users

There are many websites that only look good on a desktop. They have no mobile capability.

Mobile responsive design is an important factor when ranking high in search results. If your website isn’t mobile-friendly, you’re neglecting a lot of traffic.

Not all blogs are mobile-optimized which can induce a massive decline in rankings.

Don’t worry though, there are some quick ways to get a mobile experience without compromising on quality.

Make sure to add a search box to your header for mobile users only. This will permit them to efficiently discover what they require.

59. Build relationships with other new bloggers

A few tips and tricks to take as an aspiring blogger is to create partnerships with other content writers.

You never know when you’ll want to create a digital product together or work on something specific to grow each other’s websites.

Whether you’re a personal finance blogger, you never know when you might collaborate with a travel blog or vice versa.

60. You will need patience

Blogging becomes a lot easier when you start to realize that it can take time to see any progress. So, keep working hard and start your blog as soon as possible.

You will not become rich overnight.

So try joining other online communities and get accountability partners with other bloggers who are in the same boat as you

61. Write your blog post ideas

If you ever run out of blog post topics or need a new article to write for the week, start writing ideas that will grab the attention of readers and, of course, Google.

If you’re anything like me, you’re consistently in need of blog post conceptions. Whether you’re a seasoned blogger or just starting out, writer’s block is inevitable.

One of my favorite ways to overcome writer’s block is to keep a running list of blog post ideas on a Google Sheet.

Here are some article ideas:

  • A case study (eg how I made money selling online on Etsy)
  • Answering a specific question (How many subscribers does it take to make money on YouTube
  • List (10 Best Tools for Kid Bloggers)
  • Create evergreen content
  • Step-by-step guide

That way, when I’m feeling inspired, I can just refer to my list, and voila! I have a blog post topic. So many people get stuck, so please try it for yourself.

Not only does this method save me time, it also helps keep my blog posts consistent.

If you’re looking for a new way to manage your blog posts, try this method

You may find that this is your new favorite way to manage your blog posts.

62. Blanket your entire niche

As any experienced blogger knows, having a blog niche is important. This allows you to build a loyal following and become an expert in your chosen subject.

However, there are also advantages to widening your blogging topics from time to time.

By writing about topics that are broader or even related to your niche, you can attract new readers and give yourself more material to work with.

This can be extremely useful if you find yourself laboring to come up with unique concepts.

So if you’re looking for ways to spice up your blogging, consider branching out of your comfort zone. You may be amazed at the results.

I have recently started covering a wide range of topics related to online business and I have seen some wins for websites.

FAQ’s of Blogging Tips

I hope you enjoyed this list of the most important blogging tips. I think they are very helpful for beginners and experts.

You can always learn more by reading the success stories of other bloggers.

Have you tried any of these tips? What did you like best? Let me know but for now. Let’s start with some questions that newbies ask.

How do beginner bloggers make money?

Beginner bloggers can make money in a number of ways including affiliate marketing, selling digital products, creating online courses, and more.

You can even get paid to write reviews for specific products. But the easiest and least effective way to monetize your blog is to join an ad network like MediaVine or Affiliate Marketing.

I earned my foremost dollar online in 2021

I originally started with affiliates because I knew it could turn into a passive income machine. However, I had to start from scratch. My goal is to get as many email subscribers as possible.

Why do blogs fail?

Most blogs fail due to inconsistency and no direction. Anyone who has started blogging and growing online will know that we have bad days and good days.

If you want to build a successful blog, consistency is key.

It’s not network marketing or affiliate marketing at Clickbank, you need to build a business that will last.

Know exactly what you are going to write each month and build strong backlinks to that content.

Content should be mixed in with relevant content and you should be consistent with posting new content.

So you will want to increase your domain rating (authority score) by writing guest posts for other websites and getting links from these sites.

Do people read blogs anymore?

Yes, people are constantly looking for answers online and most of them use Google. New bloggers don’t realize that it can take weeks to even months to rank their content, so give it some time.

Google has evolved into the number one origin of data. So if you don’t rank well in Google, you won’t see much traffic coming to your site.

I even read content myself whether I’m looking for the best standing desk or how to start my own business.

So make sure there are no spelling mistakes because thousands of people can visit your website.

Overall, I hope you found this post useful and take blogging advice. I have included all the resources I used while creating my blog.

My very personal blogging tip for you is to start blogging as soon as possible. I want to start very soon.

I have written everything I could have known when I first started blogging online so feel free to take all the information for yourself.
