I name them “your example four” pages, and they are:

We all know what a home page is—it’s the original URL of your website.

  • Your blog post must be: The text is easy to read, make sure you use a large enough font in black with a white background. (Do not break this rule.)
  • Your text should not exceed 850px. Once you start to get out of it your readers will have to look far from left to right, making it difficult to read.
  • They must have the correct line spacing. If you take this post you are reading now, for example, you will notice that I do not have more than three lines of text before the paragraph break.

These are the key points you need to address, but one thing that is very helpful when starting a blog is that you want to model (not copy) the sites and see what they are doing to the opposite engineer.
